I've been reading and reading about how to format data with switches and I can't seem to make it happen.  Does anybody have any good ideas about how to make my currency fields in Excel show up as Dollars in my merged letter?  this is driving me crazy.....my word 98 just does it!  arg.....

Hi Sue,

In the mailmerge main document, use Alt+F9 to toggle on the field codes and
before the closing } of the currency mergefield, add the following numeric
picture switch:

\# ",$#.00"

Use Alt+F9 to toggle off the field codes and then execute the merge.

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested.  Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps
