I have written a automated mailmerge letter and would like
to delete a line after a mail merge item (autmoatically).
I am producing a number of mail merge documents and
therefore cannot do the gap myself.

There is another problem I sometime have 2 point and other
time 3 or 4. I therefore need my VBA to delete the blank
line only if there is some text in mailer merge item. To
ensure i don not delete information I need on my letter

Please help many thanks

Marcus

Hi Marcus,

I'm not certain I follow exactly what your set up is. Let's
start with which version of Word you have?

And when you say "automate", you mean you're using VBA?

By "line" do you mean a line of text, or a drawn line? If the
latter, how was it created.

Have you ever used IF fields? If not, go through some of the
recent posts in this group; their use is discussed
frequently, and in some detail.
