Hi,

I've made a mailmerge document with a dbf table.
so far no problem

But when I click on "mailmerge to email"
I get a message "can not directly send a catalog that was made with
mailmerge to email, fax or printer"
there is no errornumber and this is translated from my dutch version of
Msword.

Does somebody knows why I cannot mailmerge a document to email ?

kind regards
christophe

A catalog type mail merge can only be executed to a new document.  You can
then email that document if you wish to send it to someone.

A formletter type mail merge document can however be executed to email and
perhaps that is the type of document that you should be using

Hope this helps.

Indeed,

Why didn't they (read: MSWord) made this not more obvious ?
That message didn't help me any further.
It took my hours...

thanks a lot
