Merging labels from excel starts second page with second record

When merging labels from an excel file, the second page of the labels starts
with the second record from the excel file and repeats all the other labels,
third page starts with third label (sheets of 30 labels each), etc.  How do I
get the merge wizard to start page 2 of labels with appropriate record - on a
30-label sheet, it should start page 2 with label #31.  Any suggestions?

I would be 99% sure that you are not actually executing the merge.  Rather,
you are previewing the result of the merge, then printing the sheet and then
moving to the next record and previewing (well maybe not really) and then
printing.

I would also be 99% sure that you are using the Mail Merge wizard that comes
with Word XP or 2003.  Instead of doing that, from the View menu, select
Toolbars and then check the Mail Merge toolbar item.  Then use either the
third button from the right hand end of the Mail Merge toolbar to execute
the merge to the Printer.
