Hi

I have created a template used for writing letters to our employees.
One thing, however, bothers me. I would like the first half of the letter to
be write protected so the user cannot change the settings of the mailmerge
fields
The lower part of the letter should be left unprotected so the user can edit
the
text of the letter.

Does anyone have a hint on how to do this in vba ?

Best regards
Frank

See if the approach outlined in this KB article is basically what you
want/need:
