how do you get it to interface with word 2000

What do you mean by interface.  If it's to use Outlook Contacts as a
mailmerge data source,
See the "Mailmerge from Outlook" item on fellow MVP Graham Mayor's website
at:

http://www.gmayor.com/mailmerge_from_outlook.htm

If it's not for mailmerge purposes, take a look at:

I would suggest that you ask that question in an Outlook newsgroup.  I am
not sure that you can, or should rename that folder.  If you were to do it,
Outlook may not know what to do with sent items.
