I've got an Access db on a server that merges to multiple word documents also
on the server.  A few people access this db to create the merged documents.
One of the users can merge, but once the merge is complete, the save and the
print commands are not available for them (both the buttons in the menu, and
in the File menu are greyed out).  The only way for them to print is to go to
print preview and print.  As for saving, I even tried ctrl+A n ctrl+Cing the
document, then pasting it into a new, blank word document.  As soon as the
text was pasted, the commands were greyed out again.

Any one have a clue why this may be happening?

Thanks,
Matt

New one on me...

And the user doesn't have this problem with any other documents, not ever? Which
version of Word?
