exporting aaddress book

Ok, Maybe I'm stupid, but how do u export an address book to a file to use as
a source for merging envelopes? I tried the exporting and it said it had been
done, but I can't find it. Thanks for yor help.

From the OE address book - File > Export > Other address book > Text file
You will be given an opportunity to save the file at a location of your
choice. That's where you will find it :)
