When I go to select the recipients and select "browser", the system hangs up.
This did not happen until I installed microsoft updates. I also cannot
"restore" for some strange reason as well since installing these updates. Any
suggestions?

There are massive problems with the most recent set of updates. There's a KB
article (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918165) describing a workaround for
some of the problems. But other people are finding they need to uninstall the
updates, especially MSO06-015.

I resolved the problem by uninstalling the recent Security Update for Windows
XP (KB908531). And now it works.
