In Word 2002 I have a user who has a custom toolbar.
Although we dock it at the left, upon closing and
reopening Word it respositions next to an existing
toolbar.  Any thoughts on how I can fix this?

Without knowing more about the nature of your toolbar and how it is placed,
try opening normal.dot for editing (or the document template that contains
the toolbar) add a character to the text space. Delete it. Place the toolbar
and save the template.
