In Word 2002, there is a small box (a sort of default
box) in the initial part of the font box, that contains
the fonts that have been used.  The complete list of
fonts (including the one in this default box) are listed
alphabetically below the default box.

I would like to reserve this default box for the fonts
that I use frequently and eliminate the fonts that I have
used only occasionally.

Is there any way to do that?

Any help or suggestion would be appreciated.

No, this is just an MRU list and will always show the most recently used
fonts.

Thank you for your answer.

In fact, the term "MRU" for the "font most recently used
(MRU) list" was the key to finding a solution to my
problem.  I used the term as a keyword for a search in
the Microsoft Knowledge Base.

The Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 289506 describes how
to install the Support.dot template.  With this template,
you can activate a macro, which allows you turn on and
off the font MRU list.
