Hi Jon, I checked this out and the text boundaries
checkbox was not checked. When I checked the checkbox,
just for grins, it displayed an entire box on the
document (where the margins are). The original issue is
a little L-shaped "bracket" in each corner of the page,
in light gray, that corresponds to where the margins are
placed.

Hi Carol,
This is caused by using Asian/Far East language support.
If you do not need this language support you can turn it off under
Start/Programs/Microsoft Office Tools/Language Settings.
