What version of Word are you running? You could try this, right click
Internet Explorer > Properties > Programs (tab) > (at the bottom of the
Internet Options dialog, uncheck "Internet Explorer should check to see
whether it is the default browser.

Go back into Netscape and go to preferences to set it as the default
browser, (I'm not sure how though in Netscape, but you probably should know.

word it opens the link in IE 6.0 and I was wondering how
