Don,
Assuming you have a two secion document use {Page} of {SectionPages} vice
{Page} of {NumPages}.
CTRL+a and ALT+F9 to display your field codes, make the changes, rigtht
click and update field.

That's a start in the right direction, but what if there
are many sections? Typically the body of the doc begins
with section 3, but that's not the real issue; becasue of
landscape pages in the dox there may be many sections
following.
