I am working with a computer that has Word 2000 installed.
When I open the program I find that there no toolbars
displayed. Even the Main Menu toolbar in missing. I have
tried to find a way to get it back but to no avail. Is
there a shortcut to bringing it back or will I have to
reinstall this program.

Go to View > Toolbars > (choose "Standard" and "Formatting").

If the drop down menu toolbar is missing, thats a tough one for me.

It would not be tough for you if you had read any of the hundreds of other
posts here that have received the standard answer: see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/MissingMenusEtc.htm. This problem is
caused by a damaged Registry key and can be fixed only by rebuilding the
key.
