I have Office XP 2002 (for students & teachers). I have
sucessfully installed the Equation editor and can use it
in power point. But I do not have the option to insert
this type of object in Word 2002. I know I can always
flip back & forth, but it would be MUCH better if I can
use it directly in Word.
Please and Thank you for any assistance.
You do not have Equation 3.0 listed under Insert | Object? If it is
available there, you can use it that way, or you can find the Equation
Editor item in the Insert category in Tools | Customize and drag it to a
toolbar.

Thank you! The customize option works fine.
