My Format Painter (the paintbrush on the toolbar) in Word
2002 does not accurately copy the formatting to the
painted text.  For instance, if I try to grab the
formatting from Times New Roman/Bold/12, I will usually
get Times New Roman/Italics/12 on the text that I am
trying to copy the formatting to.  This happens
consistently.

G'day "Picasso" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com>,

Investigate the use of applied styles my friend - your worries will
disintegrate.
