I have Word 2002.
Using Windows XP.
Under "File", right after "New" are approximately 30 "New
Works Templates".  I have to scroll down past all these
entries before I can get to the rest of the menu.  How can
I get rid of all these annoying entries?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Cliff

Uninstall the Works Add-In, I suspect.

If you're using Word freestanding (not starting it from the Works Task
Launcher), then you need to uninstall the Microsoft Works Suite Add-in for
Word, which creates *many* problems, of which this is just one. Go to
Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs and uninstall the add-in. This does not
uninstall Word or Works, just the link between them. Then restart Word, open
Tools | Customize, and drag all the New Works Templates items off the menu.
