I made a draw object (a letterhead).
I saved it as letterhead.dot, and that works fine.  I open it and I
have a blank document with the letterhead at the top as a grouped draw
object.

I want to assign the draw object only to a button on my word 97
toolbar so when I click it the letterhead will paste into my document.

This is so I can have multi page documents with letterheads on the
pages that require them, blank second sheets.

When I ctrl-c copy and ctrl-v paste the draw object I made it pastes
blank. But I think that is a different problem.

What am I doing wrong?  Probably everything.  Heh.

Putting the draw object into the Header of a doc with Different First Page
Header set will accomplish your objective more easily, giving you a complete
letterhead template.
