There is no 'autosave' by default in Word. What you have set up is
'autorecover' which is not the same at all.
*Never* save to (or open from) floppy disc it is one of the most certain
methods to ensure document corruption. By all means *copy* a document to
floppy for safety - but never *save* it as this creates hidden temporary
files for which there may be insufficient space.
You can add autosave functionality, with tools provided with Word - and save
to multiple locations with the aid of a macro - see
