Whenever I use help it automatically goes to Microsoft Help
on-line.  Other than clicking to change it to off-line
help, does anyone know how to make off-line help the default?

G'day "Sandy" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com>,

I'm with you on this one! I haven't been able to find anything yet
though, the registry is my last best bet :-)

Yep. Tools | Options | Service Options. In the Online Content pane, clear
the check box for "Search online content when connected."

You can also get there by choosing "Microsoft Office Word Help" on the Help
menu (or pressing F1) and then clicking on Online Content Settings.
