I've added some options to one of Word's built in menus,
and I would like to put in a couple of separator lines to
distinguish these options.  Can you tell me how to do
that?  Thanks for any help.

Joanne,
To add a separator bar to toolbar to the left of a button on a horizontal
toolbar:
Make sure the toolbar is displayed
Click Customize on the Tools menu
To add a separator bar, right-click a button and then click Begin a Group; a
separator bar will be added to the left of the button on a horizontal
toolbar

A shorter way to to hold the ALT key and drag a button to the right a short
distance to insert a separator bar to its left

Substitute "menu" or "menu command" for "toolbar button." It works just as I
described.
