How do I group option buttons in Word, to make them work
properly? Thanks
Jay Freedman - 29 Apr 2004 19:02 GMT
Hi Bill

Open the Properties dialog for each option button, and type the same value
into the GroupName property for all the buttons that should be in the same
group. If you have a second group, choose a different GroupName value for
them.

Thanks Jay. I've tried that, but both buttons will stay
selected instead of toggling. Any other advice?

Hi Bill

The only way I'm able to get two option buttons to be selected at the
same time is to give them different GroupName values. Capitalization
doesn't count, but spaces or underscores do -- for example, "group1"
and "Group1" will belong to the same group, but "group 1" or "group_1"
will belong to a different group.

I assume you clicked the Design Mode button to toggle out of design
mode, since you can't really see any selection in design mode.

Thanks Jay, there must be something funky with my Word
app. It works fine for me in Excel.
