When I create a macro and drag the name to my toolbar it
gives me a huge button.  It shows the icon picture, which
I was able to customize, but also shows the macro name.
How can I get the macro name off the button and make it a
normal size?

Patty,

Right click the menu and choose customize.  Right click your macro button
and change the name and other options to meet your needs.

When I right click the button all I get is a list of
toolbars.

You need to have the Customize dialog box displayed to make changes (or see
the context menu Greg was talking about). Tools => Customize...

Patty,

When you do get there, the right-click popup menu has choices for
"Text Only" and "Image and Text", but for some reason the choice that
means "icon only" is labeled "Default Style". Gotta admire the genius
who thought of that one. :-)

Default Style means button only on toolbars and button & text on menus.

True. At the risk of a double negative, though, that doesn't make it any
less unintuitive. I'm a firm believer in the "say exactly what you mean"
school of software design. There's an explicit "Image and Text" choice and
an explicit "Text Only" choice, so there should be an explicit "Image Only"
choice.

You are (of course) correct, there should be, in addition to the default
choice.
