Hi
Somehow, when we opened word up, all the toolbars are
missing.  Even the standard toolbar is gone.  The only
thing at the top of the document is the ruler.  How can we
get our toolbars back?  Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Thank you so much for the link.  I was having the same problem and was close to uninstalling and reinstalling the whole program

Good job you didn't as it would not have made any difference.

Do you understand how to look at replies to posts, by clicking the
plus sign to the left of the message header? (If not, then you won't
see this one, either.) Have you looked at the replies to *any* of the
hundreds of posts about missing toolbars or menus? Almost every one of
them points to
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/MissingMenusEtc.htm.

Hi Jay,

Of course if they don't know about expanding the thread, they won't even see
their own post, let along your response to it.
