MS WORD IN OFFICE NO MENU/TOOLBAR SEEN

I AM USING MS WORD 2000 IN OFFICE XP . I CANNOT SEE
EITHER THE MENU OR THE TOOL BAR
I HAVE TRIED USING
ESC
IHAVE TRIED USING VARIOUS COMBINATIONS OF
F10 WITH SHIFT , ALT , AND RETURN
BUT I CANNOT GET THESE BARS BACK

HELP

Like the hundreds of others who have written in with this same problem, you
have a minor registry corruption. See
