I am trying to create a web document in WORD that will
include a background colour or a theme with a texture. I
am able to click on Format and then Background or Theme to
choose a colour but the colour or theme will not appear on
the document. I have tried this in both the normal and web
setting. The document stays with a white background. I am
clearly aloud to make these choices as they are not washed
out. When I go back into the Background setting, it shows
the colour I chose previous as highlighted. Also the
preview pane in Themes will not show the colour and
pattern of the background when I click on any of the
choices. I am a little confused and ask for some direction.

Thankyou

Have you tried View - Web Layout? (Not sure whether "I have tried this in
both the normal and web setting" refers to this.)
