I have built several macros to speed my work.  I have
placed them on the toolbar.  They routinely disappear two
or three boots later.  Does anyone know why or what can
be done prevent the problem.

Store them, and the toolbar, in a separate global template from normal.dot.
I suspect you are on a network and someone decided that normal.dot gets
replaced.

See http://addbalance.com/word/movetotemplate.htm for step-by-step
instructions on moving / sharing / copying customizations including
AutoText, AutoCorrect, keyboard assignments, macros, etc.

Thanks.  I'll try this.  I'm not on a network.  My macros
seem to last anout a week and then disappear again.  It
really gets old after a while.
