I can't remember the trick to gaining access to menu
options. Specificallly, I need to watermark DRAFT but
when I go Format -> Background -> Printed Watermark, the
Printed Watermark option is not activated (indicated by
appearing greyed/ghosted). I know that menu options are
only available under certain specific conditions
(relative to that option) but I've tried everything I can
think of. Also, I need to save my XP document in Word 97
format; is this going to cause complications with being
able to create or maintain watermarking? In the past,
I've always watermarked using a frame around text box
within the header/footer, which allowed me to move and
resize in the middle of the page. This no longer appears
to be available. Suggestions? Tx.

G'day "AJ" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com>,
maybe its related to use drawing canvas. Anyway, all you have to do is
float a shape off your header and footer to achieve that result.
