Wrong Font

I have Word 97. The default font was always 12, but now it has changed to
10. Quite tedious to go on manually changing it all the time. How can I
change it back to default 12?

Modify the formatting of the font in the Normal style.

Change it in the Format Font dialog and click the Default... button. See
