Does anyone know if there is a way to insert a static date
with a single keystroke or on a mouse click? Thanks

Save a CREATEDATE field as an autotext entry and assign a keyboard shortcut

Or, create a template that has the CreateDate field built in and use that
template for documents where you want the date.
