Same here. I run my system with the display set to "Large Fonts". While
investigating the fuzziness I tried "Small Fonts", and the fuzziness went
away. However, the dialog box text became too small to be usable by me, so
I reverted to "Large Fonts" and fuzzy buttons.
Note something worse. If you use the option to customize a command bar
image (Tools->Customize->Rearrange Commands; pick "Toolbar"; select an item;
pick "Modify Selection"; pick "Edit Image"), then often the image gets
further smeared, irretrievably smeared, even if you cancel the edit-image
operation. Your only recourse then is to "Reset" the toolbar or the
selected toolbar item.
I think the problem is that somewhere there is logic that is trying to scale
up 16x16-pixel images to 22x22 or 23x23-pixel images when Large Fonts are in
use. Editing the image causes downscaling and reupscaling, with errors and
approximations possibly made in both directions.
Those buttons are blurry and unpleasant and I too would like a solution.
