Turn off metadata

Hello,

Is there any way to turn off/disable the metadata feature
in MS word?  I know of different ways to scrub the metadata
out, but did not know if it's possible to disable the
functionality to begin with.

Hi Brenna,

First, there is no one "metadata feature" in Word -- there are many features
that put nonvisible data into a Word document. Some of them (tracked
changes, comments, File > Versions) can be turned off, but others (author
name, file location) cannot.
