The previous user for this computer somehow had Word
programmed to always launch a document she created.  Every
time I launch Word or click "new document" this document
appears in place of a blank sheet.  If I want to create a
Word document, I must first erase the content on screen
then proceed with my document.  How can I put this program
back to it's origional settings?  Help...

If the previous user actually has an old document loading at startup, then
you need to change the shortcut used to start Word, which will have a switch
that accomplishes this purpose (see Word's Help under "Control what happens
when you start Word"). But if (as is more likely) you also get this document
when you press the New button, then the document has somehow been saved in
or as Normal.dot. See
