is there a way of making quotations show up with one button press instead of
2. im using word XP and have turned it off before but csant remember how to
do it

You almost certainly have an international keyboard layout enabled. Change
it in Control Panel | Regional Options | Input Locale.

'Thanks i did have an international keyboard in the input locale. i have
changed that and restarted word. It has not changed anything i still have to
press the quotation button twice to see anything come up
