I have managed to put some AutoText entries into the View Menu, but I can't
find a way of deleting them.  I'm using Word 2000.  Does anyone have any
ideas?  Thanks, Brenda

Tools > customize and drag them off.
Or
Use the destructive cursor CTRL+ALT+hyphen (Esc cancels it) and apply to the
entry you wish to remove. Treat this with caution as it will remove any menu
item!

Thanks - I had already tried Tools, Customise and dragging them off and they
did go from that screen, but were still in the View menu.  I tried
CTRL+ALT+hyphen but it comes up with the message "Word cannot find the
designated menu item". Any other ideas?

In that case it seems you may have a corrupt normal.dot - rename normal.dot
to oldnormal.dot and restart Word and if necessary reset the registry - see

I'll try that but where do I find the normal.dot file to rename it?

See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/BlankDocNotBlank.htm for
instructions on finding Normal.dot.

Could it be that they are saved in another template (an add-in, for
example)?
