I have a custom toolbar called Budget. Is it possible to open a document with
only this toolbar? I don't want the standard or formatting toolbar or any
other toolbar. I don't want the menu bar either.

I would like to create a shortcut to this template and have users open a
document from this template when they are working on budget files. Thus, one
clicks on a desktop icon and Word opens with just the customized toolbar and
no other toolbars or menus. When they open regular Word, they should have
access to the menu bar etc.

I am using Word 2002.

Thanks!

You can turn off the standard and formatting toolbars using an autonew macro
in the document's template, but the menu bar is controlled by the registry
and will have to stay. You will also have to reset the toolbars with an
autoclose macro and double this up with autoopen macros in at least
normal.dot to ensure that the toolbars are available for other documents.
Frankly I think this plan is flawed and will cause more support issues than
it prevents. I would call your toolbar and place it in a third row below the
standard and formatting toolbars and train users to employ it.
