Macros are stored in templates and documents. By default most will be stored
in normal.dot, but check for global templates in the Word and Office startup
folders the locations of which will be determined by operating system and
word version.

Macros are stored in templates, in normal.dot by default. You do not,
however, want to copy normal.dot with that name. See
http://addbalance.com/word/movetotemplate.htm for step-by-step instructions
on moving / sharing / copying / backing-up customizations including
AutoText, AutoCorrect, keyboard assignments, toolbars, macros, etc.

I just tried the page (http://addbalance.com/word/movetotemplate.htm) and it
has the following links as well as the step-by-step instructions for
creating a global template to hold you customizations so you can distribute
them. Not sure which page you are looking at.

Maybe "Moving (Sharing) Customizations in Microsoft Word" about halfway down
on this same page (just below Master Documents Feature in Microsoft Word )
is supposed to be a heading instead of a link. It sounded exactly like what
I was looking for, but when I couldn't click on it to go somewhere, I was
confused.

Forgive me. I think I'm figuring out this page now. Thanks.
