Hi,
I am new to Word 2003!
I want to start with some modification as take away some icons from
toolbar and start without e.g. "dialog" window.
It take it away, manually, no problem. I have automatically change of
Normal.dot, but when I restart then my changes are lost. I have also
some own toolbars macros that I have to start manually.
It seems to be some differences with W2K.
So, please, what is the right way of saving my modifications?
Best regards
Georg

Save them in custom toolbars and menus and hide the built-in toolbars. See
http://addbalance.com/word/movetotemplate.htm for step-by-step instructions
on moving / sharing / copying / backing-up customizations including
AutoText, AutoCorrect, keyboard assignments, toolbars, macros, etc.

In respect of the 'dialog' window, I suspect you mean the start-up task
pane - see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/ShowTaskPane.htm
