Hello,

Is it possible to convert a directory structure from my harddisk to a menu?

For example :

E:\richard\Mijn documenten\

E:\richard\Mijn documenten\Mijn afbeeldingen\

E:\richard\Mijn documenten\Mijn muziek\

E:\richard\Mijn documenten\Mijn notitieblok\

E:\richard\Mijn documenten\Mijn notitieblok\Lessen\

The menu wil be Richard and the sub menu wil be Mijn documenten and the
sub-sub menu wil be Mijn afbeeldingen.

In het sub menu I want to put all my DOT files so that I can access them
very rapidly.

How can I do that?

Templates are stored in the folder indicated at tools > options > file
locations > user templates (and sub folders of that folder, which will
appear as tabs on the file new dialog box.).

Documents, by default, are stored in the folder indicated at tools > options
> file locations > documents. You can add other folders to the places
toolbar in the file open dialog

I suppose you can put your user and workgroup templates folders in the My
Documents folder or a subfolder. I wouldn't especially recommend doing so,
though. These are special folders and putting them in the documents folder
encourages people to open templates rather than use them to create new
documents. There are a number of ways to get new documents from templates.
Most require vba but not all. You may want to take a look at
http://www.addbalance.com/word/templatesmenu.htm.

For more on the different kinds of templates, tabs on the file new dialog,
and locations of templates folders see
http://addbalance.com/usersguide/templates.htm.
