Help. My job involves editing reference lists. I often
use the bulleted and numbered list format option to
number reference lists in various styles. The problem I
am having is that I also need to add coding to the
reference lists and the codes must begin outside (before)
each ref number and end at the end of each ref (eg, I
have a macro that adds <1> at beginnning of ref and </1>
at the end the of ref when highlighted), but Word 2003
will not let me highlight the ref number to set the
opening code before the ref number. So I get:
[1] <1>reference</1>
when I need
<1> [1] reference</1>
Any ideas on how I can use the automatic numbering
function (saves a lot of time numbering the lists) yet
make the number become part of the text so it it
highlightable?
Thanks!
