All the sudden, my Word and Excel 2003 decided to sort files and folders in
"descending" order whenever I command it to "open" a document (using Open
File dialog). How can I reset it to "no sort". I do not want to reinstall
this beast! The problem with this is that it takes so long to sort before I
can select a file.

Thanks

John

Select the Details view and click on the column heading you want the files
sorted by. Clicking twice will reverse the sort.

Thanks Suzanne. That works very nicely!
