How can I stop other programs editing MS word pulldown menus? "send to
bluetooth" reappears to File pulldown menu every time I start MS Word.
Deleting or moving it by using Tools/Customize only deletes it temporarily.

Evidently you have an add-in -- probably a template in Word's Startup
folder -- that's recreating the menu item. Find that add-in and move it to a
different folder or delete it. See

This is a part of your bluetooth installation. It may be a COM Add-In which
would need to be uninstalled or a .dot Add-In which could be moved from your
Word Startup folder.
