Excel-workbook as data for Word-mailmerge

Problem !
Some of my adresses are in an excel-workbook.
This workbook has several sheets depending on which group the address refers
to (e.g. family, work, friends,...).
When I open Word using this excel-workbook as a data-base (e.g. to write
some envelopes) Word only takes the first (utmost left) excel-sheet as data.
1. How can I access the other worksheets ?
2. Would it be possible to put this already in the desktop-shortcut ?

I don't know of any way to access more than one sheet at a time, but you can
access a *different* sheet just by moving it to the front in Excel.

In the mean time I found the solution to both :
- to access more than one sheet at the time, see

- to use Excell as a data base, with more than one sheet, see
