MS Office Forum / Word / Menus and Toolbars / August 2005Can't Customize Word's Toolbars
I'm working in a W2K/Office 2003 environment and am not able to customize my toolbar in Word. I'm able to customize my Outlook, Excel, and PPT ones, but not this one. I've gone through the KB and looked for the fixes and have tried them all (renaming Normal.dot, renaming the registry entries, logging in as an admin, removing and reinstalling Word) but none of them have worked. Is there something that I'm missing? If you have any ideas, I'd be happy to hear them! Can't customize or can't save customizations?  SignatureSuzanne S. This has been driving me crazy for the last two days. I have had to save settings on a friends machine and then load them in. I had almost accepted that limit and then just got too frustrated. Adjusted the registry key and viola, like magic it works and now my customizations withstand a shut down. I even went thru changing normal template and was about to despair. So once again, a million thanks.
