MS Office Forum / Word / Menus and Toolbars / September 2005Balloons option greyed out on menu (track changes)
In my Track Changes options, I have tried setting all different combinations of options for Balloons. However, I still cannot activate balloons to see marked up text in a balloon. All I see is the marked up text imbedded where the change was made in the document (and it is in a different color). Does anyone know how to turn on balloons? Are you in Print Layout view? No, but when I changed it to print layout, the balloons worked ! Is there any way to get it to work in Normal view, or is that not possible? Thank you. Are you in Print Layout view? As noted on the Track Changes tab of Tools | Options, balloons work only in Print Layout and Web Layout views. SignatureSuzanne S.
