I like to work in full screen mode. I also like to use some necessary
toolbars, that I conveniently place on the sides of my screen. If I however
close word and start it up again I do come in full screen mode, but without
my toolbar settings. I must then reset them to my convenience. Is there a way
to save these settings, so that everytime I start word they are as I want
them to be?
Thanks

Yes.
When Word starts up without your toolbars, start recording a macro named
AutoExec. (You'll need to get your menu bar back first.)
Set the display and toolbars the way you want and end the macro. This should
run whenever you start Word (including when you start it by double-clicking
on a document in Windows).
You may want to edit it or look at the code you recorded.
