Deleting Macros

With some difficulty I set up 2 macros - one went wrong so I wanted to get
rid of it and start again. Cannot seem to get back to the modifying window in
order to do that. Microsoft representative said to delete the Normal dot -
which I did although it wasn't in the place they said to find it! This did of
course discontinue use of the macros that were working but NOT from the
toolbar!
So it still hasn't solved my problem and have since tried two more macros
which work and one further one which flashes when clicked on instead of
opening properly.
Can someone advise on these problems please?
Thanks Jayney

You delete a macro from Tools | Macro | Macros. That's what you should have
done instead of replacing Normal.dot (and we never advise deleting it, only
renaming it). But if you have added a toolbar button for the macro, you need
to either press Alt and drag it off or open Tools | Customize and drag it
off.

Hello Suzanne

Thanks so much - all sorted now and have made new macros as well. Obviously
whatever I did didn't eliminate the normal dot! Happy New year! Jayney
