I have been searching for days for the Control ID that disables the "X"
in Word 2000. I thought that I had found it when I located the Control
ID for Excel which is 752, but to no avail, this did not work in Word.

So if anyone knows what this number is, I would greatly like to know
myself...

Control Id 752 id File > Exit in both Word and Excel.
Disabling it does not disable the "X" in either Excel or Word.

The "X" is not a toolbar control and does not have a number. I think you
need an API to disable it.
