Hello,
I've got a nicely customized toolbar in Word 2000. It contains
macro commands, beautifully designed graphics on custom toolbars, and
fabulous drop-down lists.
I want to export it from my Word 2000 on my home machine, and
import it into my Word XP/2002 on my laptop machine.
Can I do that? If so, how, please?

It should be possible, although no guarantees that the macros will port
to a newer version. They should, in general terms, but there are some
things that have changed, so you need to be aware of the possibility.
1. Create a new document and save it as a template (*.dot).
2. Tools/Templates and Addins/Organizer.
3. First copy the macro projects that contain your code from Normal.dot
(I'm assuming that's where you've saved these things) to the template
4. Now copy the toolbar(s).
5. Save the template file, close it, and copy it to the medium you want
to use to transport it.
6. At home, copy the template to your Word STARTUP folder. (You can
find out where this is by checking in Tools/Options/File locations.)
When you start Word, the template should load as an Addin and the
toolbars will be available. If you ever need to change the macros or
anything, you need to OPEN the template in order to gain access to them.

It will depend on how you built the toolbar. Toolbars you create can usually
be exported. Customized built-in toolbars cannot. See
http://addbalance.com/word/movetotemplate.htm for step-by-step instructions
on moving / sharing / copying / backing-up customizations including
AutoText, AutoCorrect, keyboard assignments, toolbars, macros, etc.
